Erected by Darius Whelan of Nenagh in memory of his father Edward Whelan who died November 10th 1835 aged ?65 years. His brothers James & John Whelan & infant child Jeremiah who died November 20th 1861, eight days old. Also in memory of his wife Elizabeth Whelan who departed this life June 18th 1863 aged 33 yrs.
