A small, well-kept graveyard surrounding the former Church of Ireland church of Ardcrone, on the Ardcroney→Borrisokane road, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary. Twenty-three headstones, together with memorials within the church — mainly to the Falkiner family of Mount Falcon — and some unusual brass memorials.

Terryglass, Terryglass · est. Church commenced 1879, consecrated 1910

The handsome Catholic church just outside Terryglass village, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary, built on the site of a penal-era Mass rock and consecrated in 1910. Its large adjoining graveyard is modern and uniform and was not transcribed; recorded here are only the church's co-founders — Lieut. Colonel James Francis Hickie of Sleyre and his wife Lucila Larios of Old Castile, Spain — and a number of parish priests of Terryglass.

The old graveyard of Ballinaclough, Barony of Upper Ormond, Co. Tipperary, surrounding the ruins of a 15th-century church (with a fine limestone chancel arch) and a mid-19th-century Church of Ireland church. Once a Norman manor of the De Marisco and Travers families. 96 headstones, the oldest a monument to Samuel Bindon (1677), together with memorial tablets within the church, mainly to the Bayly family of Debsborough and Bayly Farm.

Modreeny, Modreeny · est. Church built 1822 on the ancient St. Kieran site; burials from 1689

The graveyard adjoining the Church of Ireland church at Modreeny, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary — about two miles from Cloughjordan on the Borrisokane road. The church was built in 1822 in the grounds of the ancient church of St. Kieran, made a place of pilgrimage by Pope Paul V in 1607. Used by all denominations; many of the original Cromwellian planters are buried here, and the earliest headstone (Elizabeth Harrison, 1689) reflects that. Among the church memorials is the altar plaque to Sergeant James Somers V.C. of Gallipoli.

The (now disused) Church of Ireland church and graveyard of Kilbarron, in the townland of Kilbiller, a little south of Coolbawn crossroads, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary. Only the pre-1885 graveyard inscriptions and the memorials within the church were recorded — among them a tablet to the aviator F. F. Reilly Minchin, lost attempting the first England–America Atlantic flight.

Ardcroney, Ardcroney · est. Burials recorded from 1749; medieval Castle/Chapel site

The old graveyard in the village of Ardcroney (Ardcrony), Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary, surrounding the ruins of a combined Castle/Chapel — in medieval times a residence of the Bishopric of Killaloe, later held by the O'Hogans until the Cromwellian confiscation of 1652. Just over 150 headstones, the oldest to William Newstead Esq. (1749), including a handsome monument to Captain Thomas Walsh of the National Army, killed at Rearcross in 1922.

The old graveyard at Ballygibbon, a small parish in the Barony of Upper Ormond — on a hill near the L34 Nenagh to Cloughjordan road. It holds the ivy-covered ruins of a 15th-century church and 52 inscribed headstones, the oldest dating from 1767.

The graveyard at Ballymackey (townland of Cloonmore), signposted off the main Nenagh–Toomevara road some five or six miles from Nenagh, Barony of Upper Ormond. It has two parts: a modern section around the Church of Ireland church — built in 1820 on land donated by Henry C. Bowen, replacing a church of 1716 that was storm-damaged in 1814 — and a large, older and poorer section beside it. Among the 152 recorded stones (the earliest from 1728) are the Tolers of Beechwood, family of the Earl of Norbury, and the Rev. Michael Philpott, rector for nearly forty years.

The graveyard around the Church of Ireland church in the centre of Borrisokane, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary. Built about 1812, the church holds interesting memorials — chiefly to the Stoney family of Grayfort, one of whom was born in 1677 — and is surrounded by a graveyard of about a hundred headstones, some very old, including ten Kennedy monuments (1720–1841) and nine to the Meara family (1780–1853).

The old graveyard at Cloughprior, in the townland of Prior Park — the only graveyard in the parish of Cloughprior, a few miles north of Nenagh near the Shannon. It surrounds the ruins of a 15th-century church that was once under the Augustinian Abbey of Tyone, Nenagh, and is today part of the Catholic parish of Monsea. Beside the main cemetery lies the private burial ground of the Waller family of Prior Park.

The Church of Ireland church and graveyard of Finnoe, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary — about 1½ miles from Borrisokane on the road to Carney. The parish is now part of Terryglass. 43 headstones and two church memorials, among them the tomb of the Greenshields family, rectors of Finnoe across the eighteenth century, and the Waller/Stoney family of Finnoe House.

Coolnamuna, Modreeny · est. Chapel built 1830, closed 1936; older graveyard

A graveyard in the townland of Coolnamuna, Barony of Lower Ormond, about a mile north-west of Cloughjordan, around the ruined chapel of Modreeny (built 1830, closed 1936). Five priests are buried here, and in an unmarked grave to the right of the entrance lie the parents of Thomas MacDonagh, the 1916 poet and patriot. Local tradition holds that many Famine victims are buried here, some in mass graves.

The old graveyard called 'Kilbarron Abbey', Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary — in fact the ruins of the 15th-century parish church of the once-separate parish of Kilbarron, with an ancient graveslab (perhaps 10th-century) marking its early-Christian origins. 69 monuments were recorded; the numbering here runs 11–69 because the source page carrying Nos. 1–10 was missing from the digitised copy.

Kilkeary, Kilkeary · est. Foundations of a Medieval parish church; said to be named for St. Kera (d. 679)

The one graveyard of the Parish of Kilkeary, Barony of Upper Ormond, Co. Tipperary — in Kilkeary townland, three miles south-east of Nenagh beside the Nenagh–Thurles road. Within it stand the foundations of a Medieval parish church, said to take its name from St. Kera, whose death is recorded in the Annals of the Four Masters on 5 January 679. It holds 92 inscribed monuments, the oldest raised to William Carroll of Ballygrenode (died 1706); the handsomest is the obelisk to General Sir William Parker Carroll, a miniature of the Wellington Memorial in the Phoenix Park.

Latteragh, Latteragh · est. Site of St. Odhran's monastery (d. 548); 12th-c church ruins

The ancient graveyard of Latteragh, Barony of Upper Ormond, Co. Tipperary — about eight miles from Nenagh, on the site of an important early monastery founded by St. Odhran (who died about 548). It holds 57 headstones, among them the weathered monument to Sir John Morres of Knockagh, Baronet (born 1620, died 1720), of the Norman De Marisco/Morres family whose castle stood across the road. Now in the parish of Templederry.

Loughkeen, Loughkeen · est. Church of Ireland church (Riverston) built early 19th century; older graveyard around it

The graveyard of Loughkeen parish, Barony of Lower Ormond, on the old Birr road from Nenagh some three and a half miles before the village of Riverstown. The Church of Ireland church (Riverston) stands within it, with a neat section around the church and a sprawling overgrown older part beyond. The oldest stone is to Mrs. Mary Comerford (died 1733), and the graveyard is notable for the many young children it commemorates. To the right of the church stands a stone replica of the Victoria Cross won by Colonel Thomas Bernard Hackett of Riverston at the Siege of Lucknow in 1857.

The old graveyard at Monsea, in the civil parish of Monsea and townland of the same name — about five miles north of Nenagh, near the shore of Lough Derg in the Catholic parish of Puckane (Cloghprior and Monsea). It surrounds the ruins of a church that was originally 12th-century and extensively rebuilt in the 15th, and has been a burial place for Catholic and Protestant families alike since the early 1700s.

Terryglass, Terryglass · est. Burials from 1741; on the site of St. Colm's monastery

The old graveyard on the southern outskirts of Terryglass, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary, holding a small former Church of Ireland church. Terryglass was the site of one of the most famous early-Christian Irish monasteries, founded by St. Colm MacCremthainn (d. 549). Over 200 headstones, the oldest to Thomas Cleary (1741), with many from the middle and late 1700s.

The old graveyard of Uskane, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary — about two miles from Borrisokane, around the ruins of the ancient parish church (the parish is now part of Borrisokane). 25 headstones, the oldest to Daniel Kenedy who died in 1705.

Youghal, Youghalarra · est. Burials recorded from 1700

The old graveyard of Youghalarra, in the townland of Youghal on an elevated site about a mile from Newtown village, Barony of Owney and Arra. It holds the walls of a ruined church — probably a 15th-century rebuilding of an earlier one — bearing a carved head and an inscription to the parish patron St. Coelan (Coonlaun). Some fine early slate headstones by local sculptors survive here; the oldest dates from 1700.

The present church was erected in 1832 by Father Daniel Ryan on the site of an earlier church destroyed by fire, and its memorials — wall plaques, a baptismal font, a window and a confessional — are dedicated almost entirely to priests of the parish of Youghalarra and Burgess.
