History

About this graveyard

The Church of Ireland church at Killodiernan and its churchyard, near Puckane on Lough Derg. The ground holds the gentry families of the parish — the Minnitts of Annaghbeg, the Holmeses of St. David's, the Wallers, Tisdalls and Sadleirs among them — and the church walls carry memorials to several who died far from home in the service of the Crown. Memorials within the church are noted as such. (Graveyard location is approximate and may be refined.)
