About this graveyard
Behind the Sisters of Mercy Convent, in the grounds of the hospital at Tyone, lies the burial ground of the former Nenagh Union Workhouse. Of the many who were buried here through the Famine years and after, only a single inscribed gravestone now survives, recorded in the Ormond Historical Society's survey of Tyone.
