Uskane Graveyard
The old graveyard of Uskane, Barony of Lower Ormond, Co. Tipperary — about two miles from Borrisokane, around the ruins of the ancient parish church (the parish is now part of Borrisokane). 25 headstones, the oldest to Daniel Kenedy who died in 1705.

History
About this graveyard
The civil parish of Uskane, some 6,026 statute acres in Lower Ormond, had 1,459 inhabitants in 1837 and is now part of the parish of Borrisokane. The old church, in ruins, stands about a mile from the main Borrisokane–Ballingarry road and about two miles from Borrisokane. The graveyard holds 25 headstones, all copied; the oldest is that to Daniel Kenedy, who died in May 1705 aged 28, set up by his sorrowing father Philip. Recorded by Denise Foulkes for the Ormond Historical Society's survey of the Barony of Lower Ormond (Section A, Volume 7), published 1983.
