About this graveyard
Kilcommon is an upland parish in the Slieve Felim country of north Tipperary, taking in Rearcross, Hollyford and the surrounding townlands. The graveyard and church hold many of its priests, and the grave of Lieutenant James McLoughlin of Holycross, shot in action against British forces near Thurles in 1921 at the age of eighteen. Recorded for the Ormond Historical Society's survey of the Barony of Upper Ormond by Denise Foulkes. (Graveyard location is approximate and may be refined.)
