About this graveyard
Borrisoleigh New Graveyard was opened around 1940 to serve the parish of Borrisoleigh-Ileigh, and is the larger of the two burial grounds of Glenkeen civil parish. In the survey the stone numbers carry no significance as to position in the ground; they are used only for cross-referencing surnames. A number of parish priests of Borrisoleigh and Glenkeen are buried in the grounds of the adjoining Roman Catholic church. (Graveyard location is approximate and may be refined.)
