Rev. Meade Nisbett

Near this place are deposited the remains of the Reverent Meade Nisbett Pastor & Vicar of this parish, in whom meekness and moderation, unaffect piety and universal benvolence were equally and eminently conspicuous. After having faithfully discharged the duties of his sacred function for upwards of fifteen years he died in February 1707 in the ?70 year of his age. Beloved, honoured and lamented. Also his son the Revd James Nisbett who succeeded in this said parish who departed this life 2nd ?November --------- in the ------- year of his age. (Lower part of this stone very badly weathered.)
