Thomas Stoney

1677 – 1826 · Borrisokane Church of Ireland

Sacred to the memory of Thomas Stoney who was born in Yorkshire in 1677, married Sarah Robinson of Knockshegowna, died 18th August 1726 and is interred together with his wife at Ballingarry and of his eldest son George Stoney of Grayfort who was born in 1713. Married Elizabeth Johnston of Emell Castle and died 18th March 1787 and also Thomas Stoney of Arranhill, Deputy Governor of County Tipperary, second son of said George who was born in 1748, married Ruth Falkiner of Mount Falcon, died 20th Oct 1826 and lies interred with his parents, wife and several of his children in the vault adjacent to the east window of this church.
