This stone is erected by the widow Brien of Ballyhogan in memory of her husband Thomas Brien who died on the 2 of February 1808 in the 45 year of his age. Also her son Thomas Brien who died Feb the 25 aged 31 years. He lived beloved and died lamented his memory will be long revered by his neighbours and friends.
