Memoriae sacrum Reverendi Thomae Dunne. [Translation: To the memory of the Rev. Thomas Dunne whose mortal remains rest here, in the hope of a happy resurrection. For five years he sought an education for the priesthood in Lisbon, Portugal, an education denied him in his native land. Having been ordained priest, he returned to this diocese & ministered in various parishes. He was pastor of Cloughjordan parish for 27 years. He died in 1835 aged 67 years. His successor erected this monument.]
