William Courtney
1918 – 1939 · St. John the Baptist Church, Tyone
This Altar has been erected in memory of William Courtney, M.D. (R.U.I.), for 50 years Medical Officer of Nenagh Dispensary, who died March 2nd 1936, and of his children: Lily, died May 10th 1918, aged 25 years; James Lynch, died September 24th 1920, aged 24 years; Eileen, died November 22nd 1928, aged 28 years. And of his wife Kathleen (née Lynch), died April 8th 1939, aged 73 years.
Note: Transferred to the church from the former hospital chapel in 1970.
