William Courtney

This window has been erected to the memory of William Courtney, M.D. (N.U.I.), 50 years Medical Officer of Nenagh Dispensary, who died 2nd March 1936. And of his children — Lily, who died 10th May 1919, aged 25 years; James Lynch, who died 24th Aug. 1920, aged 24 years; Ellen, died 22 Nov. 1928, aged 20 years; and of his wife Kathleen (née Lynch), who died 8th April 1939, aged 73 years.
Note: The same Courtney family commemorated at St. John the Baptist Church, Tyone; the survey records slightly different ages/dates on the two memorials.
