Danl. Toler

1796 · Ballymackey Graveyard

Underneath lieth the body of Danl. Toler Esqr. of Beechwood, Cy, Tippy, one of the Knights of the shire for sd. County. His afflicted widow ordered this stone to be laid over the precious remains of one of the best of husbands, the most affectionate parent, the indulgent landlord, charitable to the poor, benign to all. Nothing could shake the integrity of his principles to betray the trust delegated to him by his constituents for whom, to his last moment he expressed the highest respect and gratitude. He lived beloved and died lamented on the 27th day of June 1796, having completed his 57th year on the day before his release from a long and painful illness, brought on by the death of his deservedly lamented only son.
