In memory of Lieutenant James McLoughlin, Holycross, 1st Batt. 2nd Tipp. Brigade who was shot in action against British Forces at Cormackstown, Thurles on March 30th 1921 aged 18 years. Erected by his comrades, the officers and men of Holycross Coy. to whom he endeared himself because of the unobtrusive and chivalrous part he played in the work of the volunteers.
