Erected in memory of Malachi Ryan, of Tyone House, Nenagh, who departed this life 26th October 1871, aged 88 years. Also his children — Rebecca Mary, who departed this life 12th November 1842, aged 26 years; Frances Mary, who departed this life 22nd September 1838, aged 20 years; Jane Elizabeth, who departed this life 20th January 1843, aged 15 years. Also to the memory of Elizabeth M. Ryan, wife to the above-named Malachi Ryan, who departed this life 11th June 1874, aged 80 years. Thomas John, eldest son of the above, who in 1889 assumed by Royal Licence the surname of Riggs-Miller instead of Ryan, who departed this life 6th March 1895, and his wife Margaret Josephine, died 26th August 1930.
Note: Thomas John, eldest son, assumed the surname Riggs-Miller by Royal Licence in 1889.
