Note: The memorial is carved with S-shaped scrolls. Although it dates to 1678, the church that houses it was not built until 1860; the Ormond Historical Society's record of gravestone inscriptions notes that these older memorials were brought here from the old church on Kenyon Street. At 1678 this is the oldest memorial in St. Mary's Church of Ireland. The memorials within the church are fascinating, recording an enormous part of the history of the town and the surrounding areas. Notably, this memorial is listed in the Sites and Monuments Record (TN020-037003), which affords it archaeological protection — the others are not.
