Colonel Symon Finch

Here lieth the body of Colonel Symon Finch of Killcollman in the county of Tipperary, fourth son of Ralph Finch of Slyce Hill in the county of Hartford, who died in January 1684 aged 65 years. Here lieth the body of Alice Finch, second daughter of Edward Finch of Kilcollman aforesaid, Esq, who died July 1723 aged one year and five months. Here also lieth the body of the said Edw[ard] Finch, second son of Willim Finch of Slycehill aforesaid, nephew to the above Colonel Finch. He died the 7th April 1726 aged 49 years. He was a tender husband and father, a kind landlord, a sincere friend and a good christian, in whose memory his faithful wife Margaret Finch, alias Purdon, erected this marble. Here is likewise interred ye body of Edward Finch, third son to ye above Edward and Margaret, died January the 13th A.D. 1728 aged 10 years.
